Finishing Final Projects

Weekly ELA News 6/3 - 6/7

Students spent the week working on a slew of finishing work.  Their final draft of the persuasive piece was due on Thursday.  Students had to finish their individual reading goals by this past Friday.  They're also working on their final projects that are due next Tuesday for ELA!  So much going on.  I got to spend time this week meeting with students individually and helping with little aspects of the projects and assignments listed above.  Some of my favorite teaching moments happen in those one-on-one opportunities.  I love seeing that light-bulb moment when a concept we've been learning and trying to apply all year finally clicks, or when a student can't wait to share with me about the part of the book they just read.  It's moments like that that keep me coming back every day.  I can't believe we only have one week left!!

Lots going on next week!  Be sure you read the weekly memo from the office: Weekly Memo - June 7th.

Also, here's what the week looks like ELA wise next week:
