Welcome to Goodreads!

by Mrs. Nilsen on August 13th, 2012

Hey all!

I just created a Goodreads account.  I'm trying it out here for a bit before we use it this upcoming year in our ELA class.  Goodreads is "the largest site for readers and book recommendations in the world. We have more than 10,000,000 members who have added more than 350,000,000 books to their shelves. A home for casual readers and bona-fide bookworms alike, Goodreads users recommend books, compare what they are reading, keep track of what they've read and would like to read, find their next favorite book, form book clubs and much more."[1]  It is my hope that Goodreads can help our MRA students in their endeavor to explore the wonderful world of literature.
Below my first review.  Check it out.  I look forward to reading your recommendations and reviews this upcoming year!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter #7)Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I wanted a fun read for my last few days of summer.  I haven't re-read a book in a while (as there are just so many good books out there still for me to read), but it has been a pleasure to re-enjoy this excellent final installment of the epic Harry Potter series.  I would recommend this series to anyone who wants to enjoy life.
