Term 3 Science Overview

by Mrs. Nilsen on March 31st, 2014

Plate Tectonics, Waves, Electricity, and more coming your way!

Sometimes it's helpful to know where we're going.  Below is a BRIEF overview of the science topics for the next term.  It is a little different from years past, as I am trying to set the 7/8 blends up for success next year.  (For example, normally I would do the Climate Change and Weather unit with the 7th graders this term, but it will be a part of the Year 1 theme for the 7/8s.  Therefore, taught next year and I don't want the 7s to have both this year and next.)

Moral of the story, I am working hard with the staff to make sure that I am teaching appropriate content this year AND that I am setting up the 7/8 blends for success next year.  All in all, it's going to be a great term with lots of content, ideas, and hands-on science!
