Picture On The Wall

On the wall above the table there hangs a picture we put up every year.
There is snow, houses with lights, a man stands still in the cold guarding the night.
A sparkly ice covered lake surrounded by mountains and a house with a beacon of light.
The sky is filled with stars; something cuts through the night leaving a shinny trail of sparkling dust.
A jolly man with eight antlered sprits soars through the night sky.
