Cody's Couch

A Poem by Jaden D.
Cody's Couch
The small dusty piece of furniture
On the front porch
Smells of dog
The seat doesn’t look comfy
There is a hole
In the middle of the upholstery
The stuffing inside
Is trying to escape
There is a partner in this crime assisting the breakout
The litter is scattered
Around the deck
Evidence that his favorite spot is not long for the world
The small dusty piece of furniture
On the front porch
Smells of dog
The seat doesn’t look comfy
There is a hole
In the middle of the upholstery
The stuffing inside
Is trying to escape
There is a partner in this crime assisting the breakout
The litter is scattered
Around the deck
Evidence that his favorite spot is not long for the world
A note from the Author
This poem is dedicated to Mrs. Nilsen.
