Senior OBOB Battles

Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB)

This week, our 6-8 OBOB teams competed in their first battles at the school level!  Students read the books during last term's OBOB elective class and competed against each other with questions from the books.  The first type of quetion asked "In which book..." and then proceeded to have something from only one of the books shared.  Teams would then come up with the title of the book and the author for points.  The second type of question asked for a specific content answer to be shared.  All teams worked together, fought hard, and had a good time.  It was a learning experience for us all, as our first 6-8 Battles here at MRA.

Congratulations to the Ballistic Panda Pirates  for winning our school 6-8 Division.  We may be combining members from the two teams as some of the BPP's won't be able to make it to the Regionals on March 8th.  Regionals for our division will be at Walt Morey Middle School in Troutdale, Oregon. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.  More information to come on that for our school winners later.

Well done to all who participated in our battles this week!  Thanks for the fun.
