Final Drafts of SF Speeches due this upcoming week!

Students are working hard on their science fair speeches.  We've been giving each other feedback in class and helping make our speeches better.  We will begin grading speeches in class starting on Wednesday, March 13th and will continue until everyone has had a chance to go.  It may take us a couple of days to get through all 24 6th graders, but I'm so looking forward to hearing their masterpieces!

Lit Circle Schedule

All students are finishing their Lit Circle books this upcoming week!  Here's the schedule so you can help your student be ready:

Monday, March 11th
Hatchet Ch 15 - 17
Old Yeller Ch 11 - 13
Al Capone Ch 23 - 26

Tuesday, March 12th
Westing Game Ch 25 - 28
Holes Ch 39 - 44

KAA complete!!

W. o. w!  I don't think I've ever seen our students work as hard as they did last week on their Kids are Author's projects.  I was extremely impressed.  All groups completed their books and I'm tying to get color copies to keep for our classroom.  A letter will be coming home to parents soon explaining the optional cost (if students want a color copy of their own to keep) and the permission slip to participate in the contest.  I'll be mailing off our entries on Thursday, March 14th!
