Valentine Surprise and Dance!

Surprise!!
All last week my homeroom was pestering me for a Valentine's Day party. I strongly told them that now that we're in middle school, we don't need to celebrate such things. We just have too much to do. Students seemed a little confused as normally I'm all about having some fun around times like this, but I was stubbornly holding to my position. Little did they know that we had a few parents who had a surprise party already planned. I was just doing my part to keep the surprise!
On Thursday morning parents had a surprise breakfast laid out in the Library for our students! It was so much fun! The setup was thoughtful and individualized for students. The snacks (especially the apple juice ) were delicious, and our students got to "hang-out" like they always want. What a wonderful way to start off our Valentine's Day. Thank you to Julie Walker, Chris Dublin, Debbie Hood, and any other parents who helped that I don't know about. We so appreciated it!

Senior Dance

The dance was a HUGE hit! We had close to 40 students in attendance and they ALL DANCED! A huge thank you to the group of 6th grade girls who made it happen, as well as the parents who pitched in (our YouTube DJ Chris, pizza fetching Darla, and more)! The students had a great time and Mr. Oldham has some pretty fantastic videos I'm trying to get him to put on a private youtube channel. I'd love to post the links on here! For now though, enjoy a few of the pictures from the photo booth.
