Our Final Science Project
The people in our group are: Dylan, Ashlynn, Savannah, and Nathan. The option that we chose was a mixture of option one and option three. What we did was Nathan and Dylan gave a speech at green stock about recycling and water conservation. Ashlynn and Savannah were in charge of advertisement of the speeches. Savannah and Ashlynn made about fourteen posters altogether around Big Meadows to advertise Dylan and Nathan's speeches. For the boys' speeches, Ashlynn and Savannah made a big poster with information that got held up during the speeches. The poster had information on ways that you can conserve water, ways to recycle, and a big list of what can and cannot be recycled.
Nathan was the person who did a speech on water conservation, and Dylan the speech on recycling. Nathan did very well on giving a short speech, and he also had a lot of important information. Dylan's was a little longer and he also had the crowed laughing hysterically about alkaline batteries. It was great! Both of the boys gave a lot of information in their speeches. Dylan, like we already said, gave information of different things to recycle and different things that we shouldn't recycle. He also let the people of Molalla know how lucky we are to even just have a recycling service, to not take it for granted, and use it as much as possible. Nathan let people know that wasting water does not just effect people in Molalla, or even Oregon. He let them know that it also effects people around the world. Nathan let people know that we should not take water for granted and that we should use it wisely because other people do not get the chance to use water as much as we can and do. Other people around the world do not have the privileges like we do like recycling and using one hundred and eighty gallons of water a day per person.
The point of giving these speeches at green stock was to try and help the community understand how to conserve water and recycle as much as possible. We really hope that we got the message through a lot of people's heads, and hopefully people will recycle more and save more water!
Below is a video of the speech we gave at Greenstock. Check it out.

Great job at Greenstock! I am a firm believer in both water conservation and recycling. The more young people that can get the word out and educate others, the better chance this planet has. Keep up the good work in your future years. Only good can come from it!
Thanks!
