6.2 June Updates on Community Happenings page
6.2 End-of-the-year Updates for Sci and ELA
Engrade allows you to link all of your child's assignments to one website, so you can check homework for Social Studies, Science, Math, and more all in one place!

Parents, students, and community members - this site is used to further increase communication and general knowledge about Mrs. Nilsen’s classes. You will find pictures, updates, blogs, schedules, successes, and evidence of learning and laughter all around. Take a moment to virtually visit our classroom, our community, and our home. Welcome.

Glad you made it. Here's what you'll find.

Visit the Weekly News blog on this site to view weekly information about  science, ELA, and other classes, what happened during the week, and important upcoming events and dates. Parents and students can respond right on the messages with comments. Check out the 6th Grade ELA, and Science tabs for specific class information.
The Community Happenings tab features other tid-bits that do not directly relate to Science or ELA.
The Calendar link on this website has some of the important dates that affect MRA students, parents, and teachers. If you are looking for homework assignments, login to Engrade (see left) to view the assignment calendar.
Visit the Contact/About Mrs Nilsen tab to contact, get a glimpse of classroom expectations, philosophy, and learn a little more about me as an educator. Community is very important to me and I believe one way to build community is to be open and honest with each other, right from the start. Students always know what I expect of them so that they can make their own choices in regards to behavior and involvement. I try to live out these guidelines through my philosophy and teaching every day.

Feel free to use the Social Media links.

Around the site I've tried to add some links to social media. This will allow you to share specific content (like a blog post or a link to this site) with your friends and family. I'm also hoping to get students more involved on here though the use of social media. Tweet and post away!

Feedback is always welcome.

I welcome any feedback, ideas, etc of how to make this more user friendly. This coming school year, I hope to get students more involved with the creation and upkeep processes of maintaining a classroom webpage. Enjoy!
**Privacy Notice: The safety of my students is of utmost importance to me. I will never put personal or private information about your student on this webpage.
